Duty of Care has become a central concept in assessing an organization’s obligations for traveling employees, as well as protecting employees from potential risks and threats.
According to the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), “the cornerstones of an effectively managed travel program are a well-designed travel policy and compliance.” And while ground transportation is the fifth highest T&E spend category, GBTA points out that “chauffeured car service continues to be a largely unmanaged and low compliance area.” To ease these concerns, Elite Black Car has put various systems and controls in place.
Elite Black Car has an extensive vetting process for drivers, which includes appropriate registration, licensing, background and employment history checks. Our drivers are fully insured, with a minimum of $1.5MM of coverage per incident.
For added security, passengers & travel managers can log into our phone-based app to view their driver’s picture, name, car model and a real-time map of their vehicle’s location.
We also send an automated text message to passengers providing them with their driver’s trip status. Travel managers also have the ability to track the vehicle in real-time through Elite Black Car’s web-based Corporate Account Center.
We carefully select our chauffeurs through a rigorous hiring process:
- We have a thorough vetting process for drivers, which includes appropriate state licensing, registration, background, and employment history checks.
- All chauffeurs have accident free driving records and are part of the DMV “random pull” program for drug testing and safety.
- Drivers must have at least 2 years of prior commercial driving experience.
Before getting behind the wheel, our chauffeurs undergo training on defensive driving techniques, safety, client confidentiality, and customer service.

- Our vehicles are licensed by the Public Utilities Commission and commercially insured. Public Utility Authority: TCP 27603-B.

- Our state-of-the-art technology provides real-time tracking of the vehicles by our 24-hour live dispatcher.
- The GPS tracking and monitoring system ensures on-site arrival 5 minutes prior to pick-up.
- Our customized smartphone app provides live updates with chauffeur’s trip status, real-time location, vehicle type, and driver photo.
- All Confirmations are emailed upon booking, including a 24- hour advance reminder via email and text.
- The name and phone number of your chauffeur are always provided prior to pick up, with a text update when they’re on their way and at your pickup site.
- Travel managers have the ability to track all trips in real-time either through our smartphone app or Elite Black Car’s web-based Corporate Account Center.

- Each driver has agreed to and signed our company’s Non-Disclosure Agreement so any conversations that take place in our vehicles are held in the strictest confidence.
- To ensure continuity of service we have a Business Continuity plan in place that includes a redundant remote data center.
